Let us take you away from all the standard tourist crowds for a day to Christmas, Florida, rarely seen by the 70 million visitors to our Orlando each year…and an area that is full of history and gators!
On December 25, 1837, a force of 2,000 U.S. Army soldiers and Alabama Volunteers arrived near this spot to construct a fort which was aptly named, Fort Christmas. We’ll pick you up and take you to visit a full-size replica of Fort Christmas. In addition to the replica of Fort Christmas, seven restored historical homes preserve the ‘Cracker’ architecture of East Orange County. These houses are interpreted to show pioneer life from the 1870s through the 1930s in a display unique to the area.
Afterwards we’ll continue to Christmas’ other big attraction: Jungle Adventures, one of Orlando’s lesser known but equally exciting animal parks and the jungle home of rare Florida panthers, black bears, wolves, white-tailed deer, tropical birds, reptiles, mammals and a gator or two!
Your visit to Jungle Adventures includes wildlife shows, a jumpin gator jamboree feeding, a visit to a replica Native American village and a cruise aboard the serene passage on Green Gator River. This river is housed deep inside a natural Florida habitat teeming with alligators, flocks of birds and an authentic old Florida replica of Spanish-built Fort Mees.
Of course we’ll also throw in a picnic lunch right on the Jungle Adventures property to complete your unforgettable day in rural Florida!
Approximately 4 hours total (add two hours for the airboat tour upgrade, and three hours for the Kennedy Space Center tour upgrade). Please note that Orlando traffic conditions can vary widely while I-4 is under construction. This tour typically operates all year.
