Sunny’s Local Tips and Bits:

Winter Park’s Park Avenue restaurants are often compared to the relaxing sidewalk cafes of Europe. But it’s not just the location and feel of the venues – an extraordinary number of European chefs have brought traditional recipes to create homemade dishes for their guest. Many of these culinary artists prepare samples at the stops on this tour!

This foodie walking tour is only offered in English. Florida weather varies throughout the year, so you may want to check the forecast and plan to dress accordingly. Tours operate rain or shine! We suggest wearing comfortable shoes and bringing an umbrella if there is a chance of rain. If a guest is using a tour voucher, reservation must be validated within 48 hours of tour departure time, or reservation may be forfeited.

"OMG! Great food, great tour, great times!"
We thought we knew Winter Park, but we found out how little we actually did know and we certainly didn't know some of these restaurants. I have a bunch of new favorites that we will be going back to. Loved learning the history of Winter Park too!

Last month I paid over $100 for a similar tour in NYC and this one blew that one away at half the price. I was pleasantly surprised at the food selection and quality. I will be definitely be back. Thank you!

  • "Fun tour in my own backyard"
My husband and I took the Winter Park Walking Food Tour for something different to do even though we live in Winter Park. We had so much fun playing tourists and learned new historical facts and new places to eat. So interesting! Loved that it’s a family business and several of them were part of the tour. Highly recommend for a fun and unique activity!!

    "Delicious (and safe)!"
This was a perfect get out of the house for us. The stops were excellent and tasty and the stories about Winter Park along the way really added to the tour. I was impressed and at ease with the safety protocols (masks, temp checks, etc.). This was a nice break for us to get out and have some safe fun.

"A+ And We Do Food Tours!!!"
We do foodie tours every place we travel and this was one of our favorites, probably number 1! Why? Terrific guides who also used our time to give us context and background about Winter Park. A manageable walking route in a very beautiful town. Friendly hosts at each stop offering samples of really delicious food. And a 10% discount at the places we stopped all day. Dan, Michael and Sarah were really super guides - thank you all for making our day!

We had a fun tour with food and local history. Knowledgeable guides pointed out historical buildings and took us to a number of food spots where we sampled macarons, gelato, olive oil, smoked salmon appetizers, and more! A great mix of local history AND delicious food!

  • "Tasty local tour!"
The Flavors of the Winter Park Foodie Tour was a good time. The starting location was easy to find and even had complimentary electric vehicle parking. We were originally skeptical about a food walk in the July Central Florida heat, but the guides were fantastic about finding shade when they stopped to give us some local history. We really enjoyed the history of the Winter Park peacocks and why the town is called “Winter Park”. We wanted more of this. We visited seven different locations and all the sweets, beverages, and samples were tasty and of high quality. The tasting room was the highlight of the tour because the staff member not only provided a history of his products, but he provided versatile ways of using them. We tasted a salad, chips and dip, and ice cream there. The other highlight was a restaurant that provided a special mimosa and salmon chip. We also visited the Winter Park food market and sampled a Jamaican chicken patty. Four of the visits offered sweets. While this was a great tour for adults, families, and kids, I wish there were more filling, food items and less sweets. Would I go back for one of their other tours like the Mister Rogers tour, absolutely!
